Turkey – Driving from Konya to Pamukkale

Turkish Roads on a stormy day

Driving along Turkish roads on a stormy day

On a very rainy day we drove from Konya to Pamukkale on a 450km (7 hour) drive across the Turkish plains, across a few mountain ranges and passed several dried-up lakes. Got lost several times especially trying to get out of Konya, which has the most chaotic traffic and road system I have ever seen. It was all better once we got on the road though. Even though it was a rainy day, the light was quite beautiful and we enjoyed the landscape very much.
